Introduction
Changing a quantity while you're with the customer, correcting a price on the road or adding a dish from the kitchen: on a phone or tablet you update an order's products with one finger. Tap a line and everything you can do with that line is laid out clearly, one below the other, in large fields and clear buttons.
Who is this for? Anyone who is allowed to edit orders. No separate subscription is needed: on a phone or tablet you get this view automatically.
What it looks like
On a phone or tablet, the Products card shows each line as a clear row: the quantity, the name and the total amount. For a package, its contents appear underneath in small print. Titles (such as "Group A") appear in bold as a heading above their lines.
Step 1: Tap a line
Tap anywhere on the line you want to change. A panel slides up from the bottom of your screen with everything about that line:
Product: the name as it appears on the quote
Qty., Price and VAT
Total of the line
Position: where the line sits in the list
the buttons for everything else you can do with the line
Step 2: Change what you need
Tap a field and your keyboard appears straight away. For quantities and prices you get the number keypad.
Need a negative price, for example for a credit or a deduction? Tap ± next to the price.
Want to change the order? Use the arrows at Position. You can see right away which line sits above and below it.
Want to do more with the line? Use the buttons: Edit product, Diets and variations, Duplicate, Discount on this line, Add a comment, Move to options or Delete.
If you open a window from the panel (for example Edit product), you return to the same line when you close it.
Step 3: Edit a package
Tap a package and scroll down in the panel to Package contents. Tap a product inside the package to change just that product. The arrow at the top left takes you back to the package. At the bottom, use + Product or + Title to add something to the package.
Step 4: Save
Close the panel with the cross or by tapping outside it. Your changes are now waiting in the order. Below the products, Unsaved changes appears: tap Save changes to keep them, or Cancel to undo everything.
Frequently asked questions
My device shows the computer view. Why?
This view appears on phones and tablets that you use with your finger. On a laptop with a touchscreen and a touchpad you get the computer view, because there you also work with a mouse or touchpad.
Is a change saved straight away?
No. Just like on a computer, you save everything at once with Save changes. Until then you can still undo everything with Cancel.
I typed a quantity and then tapped a button right away. Was my quantity kept?
Yes. Whatever you type in a field is applied first, before the button does anything.
Can I enter a negative quantity?
You create a negative line with a negative price: tap ± next to the price. One times minus €50 is the same as minus one times €50.
Does my screen zoom in when I tap a field?
No, the fields are large enough that your phone doesn't need to zoom in.
