Automatic translations of your products and quotes? This is possible with the multilingual feature (available from €95 per month).
You can read about how to set this up and how it works in this article.
How do I enable the multilingual feature?
Go to settings (cog icon bottom left)
Under 'General settings', scroll all the way down. Here, open 'Product translations'.
Select the language you want to add.
Then click on 'Add language'.
Multilingual support is now enabled.
How do you translate products using the multilingual feature?
Automatically translating existing products using AI
Every evening, current products for which no translation has been added are automatically translated using AI.
(Please note! AI can sometimes make mistakes, so always check that the translation is correct)
Translating new products
When you create a new product, you can also have it translated straight away. How do you do that?
Go to the Product Range
Click on '+ Add new product' at the top and select the product type.
Enter the product name
Then click on 'Save' in the top right-hand corner.
Next to the save button, there is now a translation icon on the left (Saving takes a little longer because the system is translating.)Once the product and the translation have been saved, you can click on the flags (see photo above) to view the translation. You can also edit the translation this way.
Multilingualism in quotes
There are two ways to translate the menu in quotes.
Via the customer profile.
Open the customer profile (via the customer database or in the order at the top left) > Scroll down to Preferred language (click ‘show more options’ if necessary) > Select the language.
In the quote itself.
Go to an order > Scroll to 'Quotations' > Open an existing quotation or create a new one > Click on 'Settings' in the top bar > Select the correct language under 'Language'.
In both cases, the menu will be translated.
Please note! The quote and the text itself are not automatically translated. It is best to create an English quote template.
Multilingualism in the widgets
At the moment, the widgets are not yet automatically translated. If you do want a widget in another language, you can follow these steps:
Duplicate an existing widget or create a new one.
Add steps and products as usual, but translate the text into the correct language.
Once your widget is ready, you can link it to your website.
Add a page to the website in the other language (often this will end with /en or /fr in the address bar)
In an HTML /code block element, add the correct link code so that the widget is displayed in the correct language. Feel free to check this article for more information or contact support for the correct code.
Once you have done this, the widget will be displayed in the correct language.
If you have any further questions about this, please do let us know.
Kind regards,
The Catermonkey team 🍌
