You can find the turnover from your jobs and invoices in Catermonkey on the Turnover page. In this article, we’ll explain what information you can view there.
Where can you find the Turnover page?
You’ll find the Turnover page in the green menu on the left.
Viewing turnover
You can view turnover in two ways.
Chart
In the chart, you can click on the breakdown to view turnover including and excluding VAT.
You can also click on specific breakdowns to hide them from the chart and table views.
Table view
You can also download the table as a CSV file (Excel).
Filter turnover
Enter the start and end dates of the period for which you wish to view the turnover.
Group the period by year, month, week or day.
You can specify whether you want to display turnover excluding VAT or including VAT. Depending on which option you choose, the amounts will increase or decrease.
You can choose whether to display order turnover or invoiced turnover.
Order turnover (order value) = based on the total amount of an order.
Invoiced turnover (invoiced value) = based on the invoices.
This also includes credit notes and may be more accurate for accounting purposes.
Display order turnover based on the creation date or order date.
Display turnover based on order statuses. You can combine these with financial statuses. For example, a confirmed order with the financial status ‘first deposit’.
If you have multiple brands, such as a restaurant and a food truck, you can choose which brand’s turnover you wish to view.
Breaking down turnover
You can break down turnover in various ways.
Below are the options for breaking down your turnover.
Turnover groups
If you link a revenue group to your product, you can break down the revenue accordingly. Revenue groups could, for example, be ‘Non-alcoholic drinks’, ‘Alcoholic drinks’ and ‘Food’.
Product categories
If you link a product category to your product, you can break down the turnover by category. Categories could, for example, be ‘Cocktails’, ‘Starters’ and ‘Desserts’.
Products
Break down your turnover based on products from your range. By default, the view shows the top 30 – these are the products that have generated the most revenue.
You can also search for products. To do this, click on ‘Search products’ in the table view:
Customers
Break down your turnover by customer. The view shows the top 20 customers who have generated the most turnover.
Brands
If you have multiple brands, you can break down your turnover by brand.
Widgets
If you use widgets, you can break down your revenue and see how much each widget has generated. You can also view statistics for each widget under ‘Website widgets’. Here you can also see clicks and conversions.
Order Categories
Break down your turnover by job category. See how much revenue weddings, garden parties and BBQs have generated.
Venues
If you have your own venues (such as a function room), you can break down your turnover and see how much each venue has generated.
