Share widget with a customer

Would you like your customer to be able to add extra options themselves, or update their own quote with new choices from a widget after submitting their request? You can!

You can share a widget with your customer via a separate link. You can read how to do this and the different ways you can use it in this article.

How do you share a widget with a customer?

  • Open an existing order (or a new one) to which a customer is linked.

  • Click on this share icon next to the customer:

  • Select the appropriate widget that the customer should access:

You can copy the link that appears and send it to the customer by email. In the assignment, go to "Sent items" > Click on "Compose new email".

You can also create a new email template (or use an existing one) and use the variable Assignment - Widget link.

Please note! This variable only works if you have linked a widget to the customer in the order.

How can you use this?

You can use this in many ways, such as:

  • Allowing the customer to submit their choices after submitting a request via a contact form

  • Upselling products such as materials or other menu items

  • Requesting additional information for an event (such as the number of children and day/evening guests at a wedding)

  • Working with the customer to put together/adjust their party when you are on location

If you are unsure whether the way you want to use this will work, you can always ask us for advice. We are happy to help!
