Have you stored materials in different locations, and would you like to group them together in the materials list? You can! This is done using bills of materials.
Creating a bill of materials
1. Go to the settings (cog icon at the bottom left)
2. Create a ‘Make List’ and give it the appropriate name. (Warehouse A, Bar Warehouse, Stock...)
Linking a production list to a material
1. Go to the product range (on the left-hand side of the menu)
2. Edit an existing item or add a new item
3. Click on ‘Link Bill of Materials’ and select one of the bills of materials.
4. Save the changes.
What does the materials list look like?
When you download the materials list now, you’ll see that the materials are categorised into blocks. (Online list)
Tip! Exclude non-food items from the materials list
You’d prefer not to include non-food items, such as staff and transport costs, on the materials list. Whilst editing a product, under ‘Usually unnecessary functions’, you can tick the box next to ‘Do not show this product on materials lists’.
