The material calendar, or material availability module, allows you to keep track of the stock of materials you use in an order. When a product is a 'recurring material', such as chairs, tables, cutlery, or food trucks, the system automatically checks whether there are enough items available, and any shortages are shown in a calendar, in the relevant order, and on the materials list.
The Materials Availability Module is available for £20 per month.
Enabling the Materials Availability module
To use this smart feature, go to Settings via the cogwheel and activate the module:
It is important that the option'Automatically set return date on order'is also enabled. Under'Number of days', enter the number of days after which the materials are returned by default.
2. Mark material as 'recurring material'
Go to Assortment and create or edit a (material) non-food product.
In the following example, we are editing the product 'Tables'.
Scroll down to'Link material' andtick the option'This is a recurring material '. Also enter the number you have in stock.
Save the changes.
3. Materials in an order
When you now include a material in an order, an extra icon will appear next to the name of the product:
Click on this icon to view the material calendar:
By default, only the dates of the current order are shown. Deselect "Show only order dates..." to view all material dates:
The material calendar can also be accessed from the Calendar under Tools:
A shortage of material
In the calendar
When there are insufficient items available, the colour of the box in the calendar will turn red.
In the order
A shortage is also indicated in the order with an exclamation mark next to the product itself:
In the diary
A shortage is also indicated with an exclamation mark in the list view of the diary:
On the materials list
When a materials list is generated from an order, a comment is also added to indicate that there is a shortage of materials:
