Do you have your assignments in a digital calendar? For example, in Outlook, Apple Calendar, or Google Calendar? Then you can import them into Catermonkey! This way, you will immediately have the date, start and end time, and name of all your assignments in your Catermonkey Calendar. From there, you can add additional details.

To do this, you need to request (export) an .ics file from the relevant calendar app. How you request an .ics file differs for each calendar app.

Export an .ics file

  • Go to the “Publish calendar” tab.

  • Select the calendar and choose the option to publish the calendar in .ics format.

  • Click on the generated .ics link to download it.

3. Google Calendar (Web version)

  • Open Google Calendar via your browser (calendar.google.com).

  • On the left, click on the name of the calendar you want to export (under ‘My calendars’).

  • Click on the three dots next to the calendar name and select Settings and sharing.

  • Scroll down to the Private address in iCal format section.

  • Click on the link below this section to download the .ics file.

4. Office 365

For users of Office 365, the online version of Microsoft Office, you can download an ICS file as follows.

  • Log in to your Office 365 account and go to the calendar.

  • In the sidebar, select the calendar you want to export.

  • Choose .ics format and copy the generated link.

  • Open the link in a new tab and download the .ics file.
