Where should I place my widget on the website?

Want to increase conversion via your website? Then make sure visitors don't have to search for anything. A single eye-catching button on your homepage can make all the difference.

For example, use texts such as:

  • Request a quote

  • Calculate price

  • Compile quote

  • Plan your party

  • Orwhatever feels right to you

Make this button visually striking and feel free to repeat it in several places on your site. This is the call-to-action that your visitor will want to click on immediately.


Also consider theme pages

Do you already have a specific page on your website for, say, a company party? Then regularly place a button there that links directly to your widget, or integrate the widget directly on that page – and preferably not at the very bottom. This keeps the promotion clearly visible and increases the chance of a request.


Build a structure behind your button – or keep it simple

Not every website needs the same approach. Some catering companies or event venues opt for simplicity, while others build a complete flow. Below are three possible levels for designing your request process:

1. Easy & direct

One clear button:"Request a quote"

This leads directly to your widget, where your entire range is visible. Your customer can easily click on options and make an enquiry straight away.

Fast, accessible and ideal for customers who already know more or less what they want.


2. An intermediate step

One button:"Request a quote"

After clicking, your customer will first see a few options (provided by your website builder), such as type of party or formula. Behind these are separate widgets for each concept.

Good for companies that cater to different types of events and want to keep the choices clear.


3. Next level: a smart request flow

The most successful users build a structured flow behind their button. This allows you to guide visitors to the right offer and keep an overview yourself.

The ideal flow (although it doesn't have to be that extensive):

  1. The visitor clicks on "Calculate your party"

  2. Selects the type of party (e.g. wedding, company party)

  3. Then choose a food concept (BBQ, walking dinner, food corners, etc.)

  4. Only then does the quotation indicator appear with the corresponding options and step-by-step plan

Have your website builder integrate this selection path. This way, your customer feels guided, not overwhelmed – and you receive requests that really match your offer.


The result

  • Your customer only sees the options that are relevant to them

  • You receive targeted, well-filled enquiries in your Catermonkey account.
